Sometimes the inspiration for finding a manga comes in the form of an email. Either a helpful listener who wants to share something they love or someone who wants to watch us suffer will make a suggestion. Other times we’ll simply hit the random button and hope to hell that whatever it lands on isn’t jam packed with tentacles and pictures of roses opening which symbolize the loss of virginity for the robot monster piloted by a twelve year old.
Then Tim finds a screen grab of something outlandish and has to do it. This is how he came to find No Guns Life. It’s a future where Battle Angel meets Ghost in the Shell where there are cyborgs running around. Our main character is a cyborg firearm culminating with a revolver for a head. He ends up protecting the son of an evil megacorporation(for in the future it is all Bleak-Co’s) who’s been through experimentation. It’s fun, has a wonderful art style which makes it stand apart and earns a Read it Now.
Weltall then talks about Waga Tousou – Imouto no Tame nara Sekai o Shukusei Shite mo Ii yo ne! It’s a wacky manga where the main character wants to sleep with his sister. A tits Mcgee time traveler comes back from the future to try and divert his attentions so that he won’t become a genocidal maniac who kills anyone who doesn’t want to sleep with their sister. Shenanigans then ensue as more women join his harem. It’s good enough to break free of the tropes and earn a Crackers.
My opinion of Waga Tousou – Imouto no Tame nara Sekai o Shukusei Shite mo Ii yo ne!
“Well, I’ve read worst.”
