It’s week two of winter previews, and with TC being much more careful about his audio levels he proves to come across just fine this time. As usual Red and TC jumpright into news, talking about the Japanese Isis hostage situation, super valentines day chocolates to impress your loved one with, and body pillows that are now just as warm as if they were truly alive. Then it’s onto the the Discussion Thread, as they discuss the answers to the question: What anime character would you like to run your local government? And finally they got more previews from the Winter 2014/2015 season. TC indulges us with The Rolling Girls,Sengoku Musou, andYuri Kuma Arashi. Meanwhile Red sharesJuuou Mujin no Fafnir,Aldnoah.Zero 2nd Season, andSaenai Heroine no Sodatekata. Remember to nominateus in the Podcast Awards that are going on right now, we’re hoping to make it as winners for the Cultural/ Arts or the People’s Choice categories; fingers crossed!

So far I’m really loving season 2 of Aldnoah zero. I agree with Red in that it’s actually better than seasons 1. The question is can they keep it up
Apart from a few, this seasons line up is pretty weak, which isn’t really a good way to start the new year.
@Aihi, but isn’t that the same as every season where the ratio of good to meh anime is 1:9
It all evens out. Some seasons are better than others, and you end up with maybe 2 handfuls of anime per year that are above average.
@yotaruvegeta. This is true. I’ve checked out some of the anime AP has previewed, and I have to say they weren’t all that great. Of course with the exception of a few
Red, have you had your leg cramps diagnosed by a doctor?
From the age of 10 i had similar leg cramps 3 or 4 nights a week. These were so severe that i’d be woken from sleep with massive leg spasms that would actually fling me out of bed. My doctor chalked it up to “growing pains” and i accepted this.
18 years later i was still experiencing these cramps. Of course they couldn’t actually be growing pains at 28 but they had become such a part of life i didn’t even think about them any more, the cramps were just the way life was.
But i started having other symptoms and became convinced i had diabetes. My doctor was dismissive but i insisted on a blood test. As soon as the results came back i was rushed to hospital that day and put on insulin. Worst night of legs cramps in my life.
It’s been seven years since i started treatment for diabetes and i no longer need insulin but the leg cramps have been completely gone since that night.
If you’ve not actually had your leg cramps diagnosed then i recommend you do. Even if you had you should check for diabetes because doctors can be wrong too. I just wish my doctor had requested a blood test when i was 10, it might have saved me 18 years of agony.
Yikes.
I hope there’s nothing serious going on with Red. Being the sickly boy is TimeChaser’s gig.
@Sam: Like your first situation, my primary waved a hand and said they were nothing I had to worry about. I spent a few hours on the internet searching my symptoms, and found a treatment that seemed to work just fine. Quinine in Tonic Water in large amounts helps, in fact, there use to be over-the-counter Quinine pills until it was discovered taking too many can easily kill you. It has been a year or so since my last leg cramp, I credit my body pillow with helping.
@YotaruVegeta: Don’t worry Vegeta, compared to TC I’m superman.
You may be Superman, Red, but I’m Megamind! Mwahaha!
This may be a weak season, but I cannot wait for a new episode of Yuri Kuma Arashi (I have to wait a while, because this is one of Funimation’s premium membership shows). So far, I don’t think it’s as good as Utena or Penguindrum, but what lit lacks in depth, it makes up for in crazy, funny, and just plain bizarre. It’s not an anime I can recommend, so it is mostly Ikuhara fan bait.
